I am a Life-Cycle Celebrant and an Infant & Pregnancy Loss Doula serving families and helping to create ritual & ceremonies that tune into your heart; held in sacred spaces, sharing solace with community. I completed my certification from the Celebrant Foundation & Institute.  This training was an inspirational eight months of study focusing on ceremony and ritual design & officiating.  As a ceremony guide, I have the honour of working alongside families helping to create the authentic service they envision for their loved one, precious baby or animal companion.  I became a Celebrant after a career of working with people undergoing loss, trauma and mental health challenges. My experiences have allowed me to develop the capacity of relating to all walks of life with compassion & I respect all spiritual beliefs, and perspectives equally.   I have completed the End of Life Doula and Infant & Pregnancy Loss Doula certification, Home Funeral Ritual & Ceremony Guide course through the Sacred Crossings Institute, Holding Space for Pregnancy Loss training, am a grief education workshop facilitator, and possess a Counselling certificate; along with many learning experiences in Compassionate Care and grief work. I specializing in organizing community events and workshops that support local bereaved families and the agencies that support them. I am a blog contributor for the Home Hospice Association, providing reflection on subjects such as supporting bereaved parents, ceremony & ritual for honouring the littlest souls, and general end of life issues. As a Life-Cycle Celebrant and Infant & Pregnancy Loss Doula, I have made a commitment to professional standards and ethics, and will accompany you by holding space for sacred ritual; leading ceremony; and providing loss support with sensitivity and a calming presence.

Giving back to the community is important to me and I have dedicated volunteer hours to serving, supporting and holding space for those at the end of life.  Gardening, archery, nature, spending time with my husband & pets and energy work bring me solace. I personally incorporate celebration and ritual into my daily experience; it’s such an important part of life. I love the written word. I am an avid reader; collector of quotes and lover of music.  Being immersed in such a beautiful environment as the Kootenays’s provides endless inspiration in cultivating creativity.
